Coursework in the Bilingual M. Ed. Program

The master’s degree in bilingual education provides an opportunity to prepare experts in bilingual education and various specialized education areas to promote and support enrichment bilingual education.  The degree consists of:

Core Curriculum:                                 18 hours (bilingual education)

Specialization Area:                            15 hours (select one specialization area)
1. Reading Education
2. Early Childhood Education
3. Special Education
4. Gifted and Talented Education
5. Principal Certification(must meet admission requirements to Educational Leadership Program)

Educational Research/Measurement: 6 hours (research, measurement and evaluation)

Registering for Classes
Before prospective students can register for courses they must receive graduate program advisement from bilingual education faculty and a Registration Access Code (RAC) number from the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. Students can register in person, over the phone, or online.
