Mrs. María Guadalupe Arreguín Anderson is currently a doctoral student in Bilingual Education at Texas A&M University in Kingsville. Originally from Monterrey, México, she acquired a Master’s degree in Bilingual Education from the University of Texas Pan-American in 2003. Mrs. Anderson is certified in Bilingual/ESL-Spanish Education (Grades 1-6) and Gifted and Talented Education (Grades 1-6). Her experience in the public schools includes teaching in dual language and transitional bilingual education programs in Harlingen C.I.S.D and Weslaco I.S.D.
Mrs. Anderson is currently an instructor in the elementary teacher preparation program of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. Her academic interests and recent topics of regional presentations include vocabulary and sheltered instruction for English Language Learners.
