Genesis of the Hockaday Family in America . Thomas J.E. Hockaday was son of William Hockaday and Bersheba R. Jackson. He was the grandson of Warwick Hockaday (b. 1763, NC). In his old age Thomas told, and his grandson Hugh wrote down, the family history. Thomas died 26 February 1912, shortly after telling the family history to his grandson Hugh.
