an assistant coach at Valley View High School.
Returning to his alma mater, Trevino was a graduate assistant at UTPA
for two seasons, before accepting a position as an assistant coach at
the University of Texas-Brownsville/ Texas Southmost College. He spent
last summer as an assistant coach for the West Division champion Edinburg

Kinesiology, while earning a Master of Education in Kinesiology at Texas-Pan

"I'm glad that Kiki is a member of our staff," said Gawlik.
"He is an alumnus, he is from the area, and he has recruiting and
collegiate coaching experience as well as professional coaching experience,
which are both pluses. Kiki is a good fit for our program, and we're
glad that we have our staff in place."
"I have a lot of great memories here," said Trevino. "It's
always good to come back to where you played, and where you received
your degree."I was honored to have been a part of (former Head)
Coach Al's (Ogletree) 1200th win, and I was here when we went to the
Sun Belt Conference Tournament. Coach Gawlik has everything headed in
the right direction, and everything is really positive. This is a great
opportunity, and I'm looking forward
