Membership to KDP International Honor Society in Education dates back to 1911.  Our chapter was founded on March 8, 1969, at Pan American College just 58 years after the founding of the Society at the University of Illinois.  At the time, there were over 300 active chapters in the United States.  Currently, there are over 600 chapters internationally and over 60,000 active members.

Dr. W. A. Stamp, President of the Society and Professor Emeritus at Duke University was the presiding officer at the first induction ceremony at Pan American College.

Mrs. Virginia K. Davis was the first Counselor of our chapter and Dr. William C. Ferguson was the first Associate Counselor.

29 inductees were initiated at the installation of Lambda Psi Chapter at our university.  Only 2 of 29 had Spanish surnames.

Check out this historical document, which depicts the information for the installation of the Lambda Psi chapter on March 28, 2009.
