The South Texas Advantage Project (STAP) at The University of Texas Pan-American is committed to helping Head Start Teachers succeed by providing a quality educated program to help you achieve your dreams of becoming a Certified Early Childhood Teacher.
As a student participating in this program during your Junior & Senior year, you will be provided with some Tuition & Book stipends, will have access to our Children’s Book Inventory, Course Book Inventory, teaching resources and get the opportunity to attend annual Head Start Conferences.
We encourage all Hidalgo County Head Start & Texas Migrant Head Start Teachers to take advantage of this grant opportunity as you embark on your educational journey. |

The main purpose of this Grant is to increase the number of Head Start teachers with degrees and to provide long term professional development and training in developmentally appropriate practices as recommended by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). |
