WELCOME TO THE GRADUATE TEACHER EDUCATION CERTIFICATION PROGRAM (GTEC)
GTEC is a graduate Teacher Preparation Program for degreed individuals who are considering a transition to a career in teaching.
It is an intensive program that allows individuals holding a degree to seek initial teacher certification (grades 4th-8th, 8th-12th,
and K-12th) and to continue working towards a Master degree in one of the following graduate programs
:
• Master of Education Degree in Secondary Education (M.Ed.)
• Master of Science Degree in Kinesiology (M.S.)
The program will start Summer 2008 with four graduate courses, and a full
year internship during Fall 2008 and Spring 2009.
Information sessions about the program will be held April 14, 15 and 16,
2008.
