CRC Location
The Curriculum Resource Center (CRC) is located on the second floor in the College of Education Complex
Building in room 2.216. Our phone number is 956.381.2271. The CRC offers a variety of resources for
faculty/staff and students, especially prospecting classroom teachers. The students may find curriculum
and educational materials to help with course assignments, to aid in preparing lesson plans as student
teachers, and to supplement their curriculum as a first year teacher.

Curriculum and Educational Materials
The CRC has approximately 13,000 Curriculum Book Guides and other Educational materials. There is an array of items
to choose from, including various Texas State Adopted Bilingual Curriculum series from Elementary, Middle School and
High School Levels such as: Teacher Editions, Student Texts, supplemental reading books (some have cassette tapes,
CD's,
DVD’s, videos, and posters). These resources are used for the production of materials which are to be utilized in the classroom
and or enhanced learning through motivation, management, decoration or instruction. The CRC has a copier available for
student use, a laminator, a binding machine and, an Accu-die cut machine.
The CRC also sells supplies to Students, Faculty and Staff such as Chart Tablet Paper, Blue Books, Scantron’s, Mini-Essay
Scranton’s and Pop-Quiz Scantron’s, Poster Boards Transparencies, and Diskettes. There are 15 computers available for students
to use and four scanners.

Our courteous and friendly staff is available to ensure that the CRC is a pleasant environment for
students to stop by to browse, check their e-mail and use the computers or review curriculum materials.

CRC Office Hours
Hours of operation in the Summer sessions are 8:00am-5:00pm Monday –Friday.
During the Fall and Spring semester the CRC extends their hours to better serve students from 8:00am-
8:00pm Monday –Thursday and on Fridays 8:00am-5:00pm.
Check-out Procedures
Books can be checked out by faculty, staff, students, and lectures with a valid UTPA ID.
Only 10 books may be checked out per person, and need to be returned within 7 days.
Books need to be renewed in person.
Faculty members need to make arrangements at the beginning of the semester for their courses.
And need to pick up their reserved materials at the end of each semester.
A fine of 05¢ will be charged for late materials.

UTPA ID is required to check out materials (reserved materials as well).
Cell phones, food and drinks are not permitted, you need to step outside.
Distractive talking and large gatherings will not be tolerated.
