Border Business Briefs is a quarterly newsletter published by the the Center for Border Economic Studies. It aims at providing an economic snapshop of the two-county area of Cameron and Hidalgo and the corresponding metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs) of Brownsville-Harlingen and McAllen-Mission-Pharr. Special issues are also published on an annual basis. These issues are designed to track economic trends over long time periods or to provide a thorough analysis within a certain economic sector.
