About CASP Programs

The Department of College Access and Support Programs (CASP) at The University of Texas-Pan American houses several distinct programs that assist students in preparing for higher education or provide support during their first year of college. The programs include:

• College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP)
• Educational Talent Search (ETS)
• High School Equivalency Program (HEP)
• Tech Prep First Generation (TPFG)
• Texas Pre-freshman Engineering Program (TexPREP)
• Upward Bound Program (UB)
• Upward Bound Math & Science (UBMS)
• Valley Outreach Center (VOC)

CASP also hosts a P-16 Field Specialist funded by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board who promotes the College for Texans campaign in an area stretching from mid-Hidalgo County to Laredo.

In addition, CASP provides grant development assistance to departments within the Division of Enrollment and Student Services.
