Curious about some Web 2.0 tools that would be helpful for your work?  Bewildered by all the available tools and how to use them?

Every Wednesday in April, the University Writing Center (located in the Academic Services Building, ACSB 2.130) will host a free training session from 3:00-4:00 p.m., with the option to stay awhile if you want more hands-on practice with a tutor to assist you.

The sessions are open to all students, faculty, and staff. No preregistration is needed, but seating is limited to 24, first-come, first-served!

Here are the dates and topics for the Wednesday Web 2.0 Tools Training Sessions:

W, April 2 - Glogster   Make your poster presentations interactive and more dynamic with Glogster.  This tool allows you to easily embed pictures, audio, and video into your virtual poster.

W, April 9 - Diigo (and An.notate)   Use these tools to make notes, highlight, share, organize, and store information from websites or PDFs onto an icloud for easy access anywhere. These tools can be used to annotate your readings on Blackboard Learn.

W, April 16 - Google Hangouts & Google Drive   Use Hangouts to have real-time video conversations and to do collaborative work, including writing, with up to nine group members.  Use Google Drive to save your documents on an icloud, access your information from any computer, smart phone, or tablet, and collaborate with others to edit.

W, April 23 - Prezi   Why use PowerPoint when you can make your presentations more visually appealing with Prezi?  this interactive tool allows you to easily embed video and create 3D slides that zoom and move.

W, April 30 - Glogster (Repeat of April 2 session)
