Hey, Broncs!  Need help with planning for, reading, or writing your papers, exams, or projects?

The University Writing Center offers

  • free one-on-one tutoring as well as group tutoring sessions on all aspects of writing, reading, and critical thinking 
  • tips and strategies for organizing your materials and studying for mid-term exams 
  • asssistance with some preliminary research strategies if you're struggling with how to narrow your topic or find sources to get started (You can even Skype with a reference librarian while you're at the Writing Center!)

We are located in the Academic Services Building, ACSB 2.130 (second floor).
Monday-Thursday:  8:30am - 8:00pm
Friday:  8:30am - 1:00 pm

Each tutoring session is about half an hour long.  Be sure to bring your assignment directions, books, and notes with you! 

If you are unable to come to the Writing Center in person but would still like some help with a writing assignment, we offer Skype tutoring sessions Monday-Friday during our regular hours of operation.  Here is the link to our UWC home page, with a tab for directions for setting  Skype tutoring session: 

We also offer our Weekend Online Writing Service, which offers asynchronous tutoring of writing of up to approximately 1,000 words:

And if you've got a quick question, drop by our Mobile Writing Center location in the lobby of the ARHU Building, Mondays, noon-3:00pm and Tuesdays, 10:00-1:00.
