What happens at the University Writing Center?  Of course, we tutor students (and assist faculty and staff) with writing projects in all subjects and all levels, from developmental writing through graduate theses and dissertations. That includes advice on avoiding plagiarism and correctly documenting sources.

But did you know we do a whole lot more?

The University Writing Center also assists students with study skills, reading skills, critical thinking skills, and creating multimodal projects (with images, video, sound). We can work with group projects if the entire group attends the tutoring session (strongly recommended), or we can work with an individual student just on his/her portion of the group project.

We're open Mon.-Thurs., 8:30 a.m.-8:00 p.m. and Fri., 8:30-12:30.  Sessions are 30-45 minutes.  Students may come more than once for a single assignment (recommended).  No appointment is necessary, just come on by!  ACSB 2.130, second floor, is our location (on east side of campus).

We also have Skype tutoring by appointment as well as our Online Weekend Writing Service.  Check out directions for both of those services here:
