9102-Payroll Deduction Enrollment Period: 2013-2014 Employee Parking Permits

Faculty/Staff and Part-time Faculty or benefits eligible staff (not attending school) may request a parking permit for the 2013-2014 academic school year online through Oracle Self-Service.  This excludes teaching assistants, graduate assistants, direct wage, and work-study employees.  

Payroll Deduction registration opens on July 01, 2013 and closes on August 02, 2013.  Below are the steps to take when requesting a faculty/staff parking permit online.     

ACCESSING ORACLE Self-Service Parking Permit request via Payroll Deduction

Where to start?   

FIRST:  Log in to Oracle via   
Every employee has been issued a Username to access Oracle Self Service and Oracle Web Time Entry.  Don’t know or don’t remember your Username?  Contact the UTPA Helpdesk or
From the Oracle menu: Click on “UTPA Employee Self Service” ·        
Click on “Parking Permit-Payroll Deduction” link found under “UTPA Employee Self Service Main Menu” ·        

NOTE: If you are not eligible you will receive an error message indicating your ineligibility at the time.  

SECOND:    Select the type of parking permit you wish to have deducted from your payroll check in three installments starting October 1st paycheck   Four Parking Permits are available from list below –  

1) Reserve (Zone 3 Parking)                                           $113
2) FSC (General Zone 2 Parking)                                       $52
3) Disabled                                                                   $52
4) Motorcycle                                                               $52   ·  

License plate number is optional at time of request.  You may purchase only 1 parking permit ·  If you select Disabled, please make sure Parking Services has your current state of Texas Handicap paperwork in file.  For special requests please call Pat Gomez at 665-2738. 
Zone 5 permit holders will receive a registration form by email on July 1st.  

THIRD:  Click the “CONTINUE” button to review your selection on the next page.  

FOURTH:  Click on the checkbox that is located on the bottom of the page, and then click the “SUBMIT” button once correct permit type has been selected. 

NOTE: The request is not complete until the 'Submit' button is clicked. The request cannot be modified or cancelled after the request is submitted.  For changes to selected option in Oracle you may contact Parking Services at 956-665-2738.  

After August 02, 2013 parking permits will only be available for purchase at the Payments & Collections Office or at the UTPA Police Department with Cash, Check or Credit Card.
