8982-NOTICE: Beware of Email Phishing Scams

In recent days, UTPA email accounts have been targeted by scammers seeking to steal your password or private information.  Your email account may have been one of them.  It is important that you take extra care in guarding your Username and Password because these scams are attempting to harvest them or infect your computer with viruses and/or spyware.  If you receive an unsolicited email that looks suspicious or unfamiliar, do not click on any links it provides or submit any of your information.  Contact the IT Help Desk right away to report or to inquire about anything you think may be a fraudulent email.  If possible, forward any suspicious emails to
