Dear all,

The Statistical Consulting Center works with faculty and students to support their research efforts as it relates to experimental design, data management, statistical modeling, and statistical analysis.  You may learn more about the Center at: http://faculty.utpa.edu/xhwang/scc.html.

The Center has organized short course series for our campus community you may attend any of these short courses:

·         Course 1: Apr 19, 2013, 2-4pm, by Dr. Darrin Roger, Introduction to R (I): Powerful, Flexible Data Analysis (R is free!), in Computer Lab, MAGC 2.202

·         Course 2: Apr 26, 2013, 2-4pm, by Dr. Darrin Roger, Introduction to R (II): Powerful, Flexible Data Analysis (R is free!), Computer Lab, MAGC 2.202

·         Course 3: Apr 25, 2013, noon-1pm, by Dr. Xiaohui Wang, How to Choose Proper Statistical Methodology? Computer Lab, MAGC 2.202

No pre-registration is needed. Come early, so you can grab a seat before the last one is gone!! You are encouraged to bring your own laptop, since the number of computers in the lab is limited.

Please note that our Students Stat-related Research Project Poster Presentation will happen on April 30, 2013, as an event of our 4th Annual Gathering of Interdisciplinary Statistics Club. Time/location announcement will come soon. Please encourage your students to participate in these presentations.
