Thank you for your interest in studying abroad! If you haven’t started your application for Study Abroad, you have one more week to do so. Here are few reminders regarding the application and planning processes:
· The absolute deadline for the study abroad application and student application fee of $125 is due March 22, 2013.
· The deadline for the International Education Fee Scholarship is Monday, March 18, 2013
· Please do not purchase airfare until our office notifies you that (1) the Dean of Students authorizes your travel and (2) your study abroad class has “made” with enough students to meet enrollment requirements.

Online Application (visit www.utpa.edu/studyabroad to sign in and complete)
Submit a letter of intent explaining your purpose and goals for the program.
A sealed letter of recommendation from a UTPA faculty member. Official transcript in a sealed envelope. (Undergraduate: minimum 30 credits hours and 2.0 GPA / Graduate: 3.0 GPA)
2 Passport photos (2 X 2in) Copy of passport. If you don't have one please refer to travel.state.gov and bring in receipt so that we can make a copy.
Participation approval form must be signed by Course Instructor, Dean of Students, and Academic Advisor before meeting again with your OIP Advisor.)
Release and Indemnification agreement (Dean of Students Liability Form) International Health Disclosure Form (completed by student)
