Description: On Sunday, November 18th thru Wednesday November 21st, all campus Avaya IP Phones, including remote sites (Annex, CESS,
McAllen Teaching Site, Rio Grande City Site), will experience some brief service interruptions (up to 3-5 minutes) on each IP Phone while the upgrade to latest software version is installed.
  • Users are advised to write down phone contacts they have stored in the IP Phones as the contacts including call history will be erased as part of the upgrade.
  • Users are advised to keep their IP Phone with their extension logged on so it can receive the update.

Customers Affected: UTPA faculty and staff with Avaya IP Phones.

Cause: Avaya IP Phones will be upgraded to latest firmware (software version).
