3rd Annual WRSC Wellness Retreat

Check out a variety of lectures, classes, and activities to engage in and promote Wellness.  Participants choose which 50 minute sessions they would like to attend.  We will also feature open volleyball, fitness assessments, and an open gym.  See attraction descriptions below.

Eat Yourself Healthy
Session will feature methods to selecting and preparing healthy food to improve overall health and well-being.  Session will also feature a cooking demonstration with taste testing of creative recipes.  

Lengthen all the muscles of the core in a series of mat-based exercises.  Designed to focus on the deep muscles of the abdominals, back, hips, and glutes, this class will also improve quality of movement, develop core postural muscles, stabilize the spine, promote good body mechanics as well as mental relaxation.  

Zumba Toning®
Shed unwanted pounds and define muscles at the same time. This class will utilize light hand held weight as well as your own body weight.  

Cross Fit
High-intensity strength and conditioning program that combines power lifting, gymnastics, plyometrics, and more to train individuals to be strong in all areas of fitness.   

Rock Climb 101
As an alternative form of fitness Rock Climbing combines strength, mental focus, and stamina.  Learn about the fitness benefits rock climbing has to offer, strategies to effective climbing, and safety.   

Shoes for YOUR Exercise
Every foot is NOT created equal.  Learn how to select proper foot attire based on your fitness activities, goals, and experience.  Learn what shoes are best for YOUR foot.  

Yoga Flow
The art of yoga links breath and movement through heat building sequence of postures to stretch the body and provide stress reduction.   

Save a Life: CPR  /AED
You can help save a life IF you know what to do.  This session is a basic overview of life saving skills to include recognizing and responding to emergencies, hands only CPR, choking, and more.  Please note this is NOT a certification course.  

Massage 101
Tension and stress are major causes for illness and injury.  Learn how to identify tension spots and give yourself or someone else an amazing massage to release stress and feel energized.  

Live Beatz
Participate in a PiYo session while enjoying the music of local artist Mark Cavazos.  This session will rock your world!  

Belly Dancing
Shake and shimmy the pounds away with this fun and dynamic belly dancing basics class.  

Ask a Physical Therapist
Do you have an injury or basic question to ask a physical therapist?  Ask away……  

Relax, reflect, and let go.  Practice freeing the mind from competition, stress, and everyday life.    

Butts & Guts
Tone up your bootylicious backside and reform your gut into an ab-mazing core.  

Tennis for Beginners
Do you have little to no experience playing tennis?  Join this session for practice drills and skills.   

A fusion of Latin and International music and dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective, fitness class.  The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.
