The Office of Faculty and Research Support is an IT office whose role is to provide resources for faculty and researchers to help make it easier for you to carry out your research.

If you are a researcher and would like to keep up to date on developments that may be of interest to you, please visit the OFRS blog at: or even better, add the blog feed to your daily reading in Outlook.

One of the areas we cover is helping people with high performance computing, whether locally on the campus HiPAC cluster or remotely using the facilities at the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC).  From time to time we post announcements of trainings and other events related to TACC on Bronc Notes.  In order to target these announcements better, from now on any TACC announcements that only apply to existing TACC users will be posted on the OFRS blog rather than on Bronc Notes.  Announcements of wider interest to the campus will continue to be posted here.

If you have any suggestions or requests for new IT services that would improve your ability to do research, or help with specific projects, please get in touch and we'll see what we can do to help.
