Find Wi-Fi access everytime you travel between UTPA and STC with eduroam.

What is eduroam?  

eduroam is a global service that allows for secure, fast wireless internet access with your laptop or smartphone and is available at participating universities, research centers and libraries in more than 50 countries worldwide, now including UTPA.
 
How much is eduroam going to cost me?  

eduroam is free for students, faculty, staff and researchers from participating institutions.    

How do I get on eduroam?

You have two options:

  1. Select UTPA-SETUP on your wireless control Wi-Fi network settings screen and follow the on-screen instructions. (Recommended)
  2. Select SSID "eduroam" on your wireless control Wi-Fi network settings screen. If asked, enter your UTPA Username@utpa.edu and Password. (Ex. bucky@utpa.edu

Where can I use eduroam?  

Use eduroam at all UTPA campuses and buildings:

  •  UTPA Main Campus Edinburg
  •  UTPA Starr County Campus Rio Grande City
  •  UTPA UTPA McAllen Teaching Site
  •  UTPA Academic and Administrative Annex Edinburg
  •  UTPA C.E.S.S. Facility on Expressway 281 Edinburg
  •  UTPA Alumni Center Edinburg
  •  UTPA Coastal Studies Lab South Padre Island
