 Undergraduate Research Conference

The University of Texas – Pan American is pleased to launch the first conference dedicated to showcasing UTPA undergraduate student research. Student Engagement and Experiential Learning’s Undergraduate Research program invites eligible students to submit proposals to present at the conference November 19^th and 20^th, 2012. Proposals will be accepted until Monday, October1^st.

Who is eligible:

Any undergraduate student currently enrolled in any discipline at UTPA is eligible to submit a proposal. Any student who graduated in spring or summer 2012 will also be eligible to present as long as he or she has not started post-baccalaureate study and the research presented was conducted while an undergraduate student, under the supervision of a faculty member.

Note about faculty sponsors:

The faculty sponsor must agree to review the research project for integrity, to verify that the student is proposing an appropriate research presentation, and to read the abstract before the student submits tobe considered for the conference. Faculty endorsement does not guarantee acceptance to the conference, but is required for the submission to be reviewed for possible acceptance. The faculty member will be contacted by the office ofUndergraduate Research to verify their sponsorship.
