Attention undergraduate student-researchers!

If you are interested in participating in the upcoming Explore and Engage!, UTPA's First Annual Undergraduate Research Conference to be held November 19-20th but you are not exactly sure how to get started, or if you just want to start preparing to find opportunities to work with faculty mentors on academic research, we have a workshop opportunity for you. Please come on over to the library, classroom #2, on Thursday, June 21 from 2-3pm for our "Getting Started with Undergraduate Research" workshop.

If you would like to pre-register and confirm your space in the workshop, please email danika@utpa.edu with the subject: Workshop and include your name, major, and email address.

For more information on the conference and our office, please visit our website: http://www.utpa.edu/ursl

We will provide a general orientation to what it means to do academic research, how to find information in the library to get started with a research project, and strategies for identifying and approaching a faculty mentor.

We will also get contact information from you so we can keep you in the loop on updates about opportunities for exciting academic experiences and how to submit and present at the upcoming conference. If you are interested and cannot attend on Thursday (6/21 at 2pm), please email danika@utpa.edu for additional information or to schedule a meeting.
