Two events will take place on Monday, April 30. 

The Department of Mathematics, the Center of Excellence in STEM and the SACNAS UTPA Student Chapter welcomes all students to an open chat with Dr. Carlos Castillo-Chavez on Graduate School at Arizona State University and Research in Mathematical Biology on Monday, April 30, 2:00-3:00pm in MAGC 1.302. Free pizza will be served. 

In addition, there will be a technical research talk by Dr. Carlos Castillo-Chavez also on Monday, April 30, 12:45-1:35pm in ENGR 1.300 on 
Dynamic Models for Epidemic Outbreaks with Samples from Influenza A.  

Students from all disciplines are welcome to attend as his research work has involved mathematics, biology, and the social sciences, to name a few.
