Bronc Notes Bulletin Digest

The Department of Economics and Finance is pleased to announce it will be hosting a seminar on ISSUES IN THE ECONOMICS OF STRATIFICATION on Friday May 4th, 2012, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. (reception immediately following).  

The event will take place in COBA #110.  The papers to be presented include:

1.  “Being Blue: Representation, Identity, and the Traffic Stop,” Patrick L. Mason, Department of Economics, Florida State University [Paper co-authored with Billy R. Close, Florida State University, Vicky M. Wilkins, University of Georgia, and Brian M. Wilson, University of Georgia].  

2.  "A Stratification Economics Interpretation of the Racial Wealth Gap,” Darrick Hamilton, Milano – The New School.  

3. "Does Mestizaje Matter? Economic Stratification of Mexican Immigrants,”  Marie T. Mora, Department of Economics and Finance, The University of Texas – Pan American  [Paper co-authored with Alberto Dávila, The University of Texas-Pan American, and Sue K. Stockly, Eastern New Mexico University].
