Network Maintenance - Friday February 18th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Good morning everyone!

Please refer to network maintenance notification below from our Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Starting this Friday evening at 6:00pm until 8:00pm our ISP will be reconfiguring the Rio Grande Valley network topology to better serve customers in the area. This change will separate network traffic for UTB, UTPA, and UTHSCSA's H-RAHC & E-RAHC campuses into two separate rings from the current single ring configuration.

During the maintenance window, all UT institutions and customers in the Rio Grande Valley will experience several brief outages as services automatically fail over to redundant paths as the work is performed. Please refer to notification below for additional details. This work will only impact Internet & Internet2 access for UTPA. It will not impact any UTPA intra-campus communication as it involves equipment configuration outside our campus.

Should you experience any problems after this maintenance window, please contact the Helpdesk at extension x2020. In addition, please feel free to forward this information to staff and faculty in your departments who may find this information pertinent. Thank you.
