FW: Network Maintenance - Fiber Work at Harlingen Regional Academic Health Center (HRAHC)

Good afternoon everyone!

Please refer to network maintenance notification below from our Internet Service Provider.  This maintenance has been scheduled for Wednesday night February 10th at 11:59pm with a maintenance window of 2 hours.

The scope of work involves adding Coarse Wave Division Multiplexing (CWDM) equipment to the fiber pair which connects the Harlingen Regional Academic Health Center (HRAHC) to the VTXC Harlingen POP (Point of Presence).

During this maintenance window there should not be any disruption of Internet connectivity as all traffic will enter and exit the Rio Grande Valley through McAllen.  Intra-campus network communication should not be affected either.  This work will benefit UT & TAMU institutions in the Rio Grande Valley.

Should you experience any problems after this maintenance window, please contact the Helpdesk at extension x2020.  In addition, please feel free to forward this information to staff and faculty in your departments who may find this information pertinent.  Thank you.
