Edinburg, Texas - Rashaad Ben (Sr./Austin, Texas/Sidney Lanier HS) will head south to Florida for one last attempt to qualify for the NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships. He will be running at the Fast Times Qualifier hosted by the University of Florida in Gainesville.

Ben is currently ranked 41st in the country in the 60M Hurdles with a time of 7.93. He has run the hurdles six times this year and has broken the school record all but one of those times. Ben is just the second Bronc to hit a provisionally mark for indoors in school history.

"He is going to have to run 7.81 or better to get in." Said head coach Ricky Vaughn. "The NCAA takes 16 in the hurdles and there are six guys tied for 16th at 7.82. They will not take that many guys. I think he has a very good chance to get that time. It's a fast track with a high quality field."
