Went 4-17 in singles as a freshman at NORTH CAROLINA STATE.......Was 3-10 at number five singles.......Won two doubles championships in the fall.....Played for Team B.C.......Was named a Scholar-Athlete.......Was ranked first in doubles and 12th in singles as a junior in Canada while attending DR. CHARLES BEST SECONDARY SCHOOL…Was ranked first in both singles and doubles in British Columbia as a junior.......Won a gold medal at the Western Canada Games in 1999…Had an International Tennis Federation ranking of 250 in the world in doubles…Won the bronze medal at the 2001 Canada Games…Was his high school team's Most Valuable Player, and was undefeated in both singles and doubles....Won the gold medal at the 1999 Western Canada Games…Was a four-time high school honor roll selection.

Born October 10, 1984......The son of Karim and Brenda Esmail.........Has a brother, Rahim.....Majoring in International Business at UTPA.
