Patty VillarealFreshman (2001):  Finished first in the Ty Terrell Relays with a season best 11:22.56 in the 3,000 meter run...  Ran a season best 2:29.38 in the 800 meter run in the Javelina Relays...  Finished 18th in the Michael Johnson/SWB Classic with a season best time of 5:03.29 in the 1,500 meter.  Strong athlete in the classroom, being named to the Dean's List in Spring 2000 and Bronc Athletics 3.0 GPA Club in Fall 2000, Spring 2001 and Fall 2001.

At PSJA High School: Four-sport athlete at PSJA excelling in cross country and track and field... As a senior Villareal took third place at the District 32-4A Cross Country Meet, helping PSJA to the team title... Was the District champion in both the 3,200 and 1,600 meter races as a senior in track and field... Was named Most Valuable Runner on the track and field team as a senior... Earned numerous awards in the other sports she participated in as well, being named MVP of the basketball team her senior season and newcomer of the year in volleyball as a senior.

Personal: Born on November 26, 1980... Parents are Amanda and Donato Villareal... Has two siblings, Debbie and Donny... A strong student-athlete, being named Kiwanis Student Athlete of the Month... She was also a Texas Scholar and graduated in the top 10% of her class at PSJA... Plans to major in Pre-Dental at UTPA.
