Immediate Release: October 6, 2001 SAN ANTONIO, TX – Each of three University of Texas-Pan American men’s doubles teams won once as the University of Texas-San Antonio-Fairoaks Country Club Invitational Tournament concluded at the UTSA Tennis Complex Saturday. Kareem Abdullah and Matt Gower defeated Dennis Andrade and Tom Macquet of UTSA, 8-6, then lost in the semi-finals to Jarin Skube and Khaled El Dorry of Texas A&M, 8-2. Filip Koziell and Jeremy Salvo defeated Eric Romasanta and Gasca, playing unattached, 8-5, then fell in the semi-finals to Nathan McGregor and Mike Garcia of Baylor, 8-3. In consolation flight action, Neil Barraclough and Tom Mangleschots defeated Shane Merkord and Murril of St. Edward’s by default, then lost to Richard Kane and Chris Frageman of St. Edward’s, 8-5.
