Israel ArroyoSophomore - Track (2001):  Helped lead the Bronc running corps to a fourth place finish in both the Border Olympics (3/3) and Javelina Relays (3/24)..  Ran a season best time of 16:07.83 in the 5,000 meter at the Javelina Relays (3/24)...  Finished fourth at the Angela Proctor Invitational (3/17)..  Ran a season best 4:19.08 in the 1,500 meter at the Angela Proctor Invitational (3/17).

Freshman – Track (2000): Ran a season best time of 15:27.40 in the 5,000 meter at the Border Olympics (3/6)… Finished second at the Spring Fever Open in the 5,000 meter (3/12)… Picked up a fourth place finish at the Piney Woods Invitational in the 5,000 meter (4/30)… In the his first collegiate track and field meet, Arroyo placed third at the LSU Invitational, running for a time of 16:16.07 (1/29).

Freshman - Cross Country (1999): In his first collegiate race Arroyo finished 18th overall and second on the team at the University of Texas Invitational with a time of 22:25 for four miles (9/13)… Posted his first top five overall finish at the UTPA Invitational, running a 34:23 for 10 kilometers (10/30)… Finished 26th overall at the Baylor Invitational with a time of 28:32 for eight kilometers (9/25).

At Memorial High School: Earned all-district honors in both track and field and cross country.

Personal: Born June 20, 1980, in Houston, Texas… Son of Israel and Maria Arroyo… Member of the HARRA 100 X 1 mile relay team...  Majoring in Anthropology.
