Bowen Named Assistant Coach: The University of Texas-Pan
American track and field and cross country program has added Simon Bowen
as an assistant coach.
12/18/01-Robinson Promoted, Rodriguez Resigns: Marisa Robinson
has been promoted to the University of Texas-Pan American's top assistant
cross country and track and field coaching position, replacing Gabe Rodriguez,
who resigned to pursue full-time graduate study.

Regionals: The University of Texas-Pan American men’s cross
country team finished 14th and the women finished 12th
at the NCAA South Central Region Championships at Texas A&M Saturday.
11/05/01-UTPA XC Team to Regionals: The University of Texas-Pan
American cross country team will try to qualify for the NCAA Championships
when they compete at the NCAA Regional Championships at Texas A&M
this Saturday.

1st, Broncs 2nd In Dual Meet :
Sophomore Hugo Cervantes had his best day as a Bronc when the University
of Texas-Pan American hosted Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in a dual meet
at the Ebony Hills Golf Course Friday. Cervantes finished first in the
7, 728 meter men’s race in 26:13.12 as the Broncs finished in second place.

Hosts Final Tuneup:
The University of Texas-Pan American cross country team will host
their final tuneup for next weekend’s Region Championships when they host
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in a dual meet Friday morning at the Edinburg City
Golf Course.

Robinson Named Assistant CC/Track and Field Coach: Marisa Robinson, who
began her track and field career in Montana and competed at Arkansas and San
Diego State, is the newest member of the University of Texas-Pan American cross
country and track and field coaching staff.

Leads Broncs at SWTSU Short Course: The Broncs finished 6th at the
Southwest Texas State Short Course Friday evening. Hugo Cervantes led the men’s
team by finishing sixth in 15:14.
