University of Texas-Brownsville:  Pitched eight scoreless innings of one hit ball against Galveston, which was the top JUCO team last year...  Had a 3-1 record as a starter before being lifted to the bullpen.

Homer Hanna High School: Finished his career at Hanna with an impressive 16-6 record with 5 saves...  Was 2-0 his senior year in the playoffs with two complete games and two homeruns...  Was named twice All-City and All-District...Strong in the clasroom being named Who's Who Among High School Students...Graduated in the top 10% of his class.
