2001 Freshman:  Redshirted.

Jay High School: Three-sport athlete at John Jay High School...  In baseball he earned Team Most Valuable Player and Male Athlete of the Year honors...  As a senior he hit .300 with 10 doubles and 27 RBI’s...  He also stole 38 bases...  For the JJHS football team Mason was an all-district, all-city, and Team Offensive Player of the Year...  Also competed on the track and field team at JJHS.

Personal: Born on January 16, 1982…  Parents are Hattie and Willie Mason…  Has four siblings, Jevon, Ivan, Tiquette and Stephanie...  Also a strong student Mason was named to Who’s Who Among American High School Students...  He was also a member of the JJHS band...  Majoring in Finance.
