SAAC DONATES BOOKS TO UTPA LIBRARY

EDINBURG, TX-The University of Texas-Pan American’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee has donated more than 80 textbooks to the Texas-Pan American Library Collections Division.

The committee members making the donation were accompanied by UTPA Academic Counselor/Life Skills Coordinator for Athletics Dawne Hill, and the donation was officially received by UTPA Library Director of Collections and Development Dr. Farzaneh Razzaghi.

“I would like to thank the student-athletes for considering the library for these books,” said Razzaghi. “I appreciate the donation, and we will make sure that these books are put to good use. It was very nice of the athletic department  to think of us.”

“The UTPA Library offers an extremely worthwhile medium where we can donate used textbooks to a worthy cause,” said UTPA Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Support and Student Services Chris Uchacz, who serves as the SAAC’s advisor. “The SAAC unanimously voted to donate the textbooks to the UTPA Library for use by other students.”
